1. GENERAL MEMBER

General Membership is the entry-level membership category for individuals who wish to associate themselves with NCIB and contribute to its objectives at the district level.
Role & Responsibilities
General Members may:
• Represent NCIB at the district level within the scope of their designation.
• Participate in NCIB awareness, social welfare and organizational activities.
• Assist in collecting and communicating relevant public information.
• Meet local police authorities and concerned officials, wherever required and authorized.
• Submit relevant information, complaints or observations through the prescribed NCIB channel.
• Support NCIB initiatives relating to citizen awareness, public safety and social welfare.
Official Designation: NCIB – District Member
General Members shall not represent themselves as officers or authorities beyond the designation formally granted by NCIB.
2. DISTRICT UNIT OFFICER
Donation Contribution: ₹10,000/-
Annual Renewal: ₹1,000/-
District Unit Officer is a responsibility-based organizational position for members willing to take an active role in coordinating and developing NCIB activities at the district level.
Organizational Support & Guidance
District Unit Officers can:
• Work in coordination with the local District, State and National NCIB teams to improve and strengthen their social work activities.
• Learn effective ways of carrying out organizational and social welfare activities through coordination with experienced NCIB members and office bearers.
• Join the authorized NCIB Central and State WhatsApp Groups to understand the organization's working procedures, activities, guidelines and updates.
• Gain practical knowledge and experience by actively participating in NCIB programs, meetings and social welfare activities.
• Improve their communication, coordination and organizational skills through regular interaction with the NCIB team.
• Seek necessary guidance and support from their concerned District, State and National NCIB teams whenever required.
Key Responsibilities
District Unit Officers may be entrusted with responsibilities including:
• Developing and coordinating NCIB activities within the district.
• Collecting and forwarding relevant public information and complaints through prescribed channels.
• Coordinating awareness and social welfare programs.
• Maintaining communication with concerned authorities within the scope of their designation.
• Supporting coordination with local police officials and district administration.
• Facilitating authorized communication with print and electronic media.
• Supporting the development of an active district-level team.
• Submitting periodic activity and performance reports.

Official Designation: NCIB – Crime Information Officer
The District Unit Officer position carries additional organizational responsibilities and is subject to NCIB Rules, Regulations, Membership Policy and performance requirements.
General Member: Minimum Intermediate (12th Pass) or equivalent qualification
District Unit Officer: Graduate + minimum 2 year experience in social services sector

All Members and Officers are expected to remain active and participate in prescribed organizational and/or social welfare activities.
Quarterly Activity Report
Members and Officers may be required to submit an Activity Report on a quarterly basis in the prescribed format.
Activity reports may be used for:
• Monitoring organizational participation
• Reviewing performance
• Assessing continued responsibilities
• Identifying training requirements
• Considering future organizational advancement
Failure to comply with prescribed activity and reporting requirements may result in appropriate action under NCIB Membership Policy.
1. Voluntary Service
All NCIB Members and Officers serve on a voluntary basis. No salary, remuneration, commission or other monetary compensation shall be payable for membership or organizational service unless specifically approved under applicable NCIB policy.
2. Use of Identity Card
The NCIB Identity Card is issued solely for authorized organizational purposes. NCIB Headquarters shall not be responsible for any unauthorized, fraudulent or unlawful use of the Identity Card by any member or officer. Any misuse may result in immediate disciplinary action and/or cancellation of membership.
3. Return of Organizational Documents
Upon expiry, cancellation or termination of membership/appointment, the Identity Card and other NCIB-issued documents, where applicable, must be returned to the designated NCIB/HR Office. Renewal should be completed within the prescribed renewal period, ordinarily within 30 days of expiry, subject to NCIB policy.
4. Change of Personal Information
Members must promptly notify the designated NCIB/HR Office regarding any change in: Residential Address, Mobile Number, Email Address, or other relevant registered information.
5. Loss of Identity Card or Documents
In case of loss of the Identity Card, Appointment Letter, Membership Certificate or other official NCIB documents, the member must immediately inform the concerned NCIB office in writing. Where required, a copy of the relevant Police Complaint/Report may also be submitted.
6. Mandatory Communication
Members and Officers are expected to maintain regular communication with their concerned District Head, State Head or designated NCIB/HR Office and should remain in contact at least once every month, unless otherwise directed by NCIB.
7. Compliance & Discipline
All Members and Officers must comply with: NCIB Rules & Regulations, Membership Policy, Code of Conduct, Official instructions issued by NCIB Headquarters, and Applicable laws and regulations. Any violation may result in appropriate disciplinary action.
8. Misconduct & Misuse of Authority
Misconduct, misbehavior, fraudulent representation, unauthorized commitments, misuse of designation or abuse of authority may result in: Warning, Suspension, Cancellation of appointment, Termination of membership, or Withdrawal of organizational authorization. NCIB reserves the right to take appropriate action in accordance with its applicable policies and procedures.
9. Contact with Headquarters
For any doubt, grievance, issue, clarification or organizational matter, members should contact NCIB Headquarters or the designated authority through the prescribed communication channel.
10. Non-Transferable Membership
NCIB membership and organizational appointments are personal and non-transferable. No member shall transfer, sell, assign or otherwise permit another person to use their membership, designation, Identity Card or organizational documents.
11. Fees & Refund Policy
Membership/Donation fees and renewal fees paid to NCIB shall be governed by the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy. Unless specifically permitted under that policy, fees once paid shall not be refundable or transferable.
12. Organizational Authority
Membership or appointment with NCIB does not confer police powers, government authority, statutory investigative powers or any authority beyond the officially assigned designation. Members and Officers must strictly operate within the scope of their authorized role and applicable law.
• Membership is subject to scrutiny and approval by the competent authority of NCIB.
• Applicants may be required to submit prescribed documents, declarations/affidavit and other information for verification.
• Membership shall become effective only after completion of the prescribed verification and approval process by NCIB Headquarters.
• Where applicable, the original prescribed affidavit/documents must be submitted to NCIB Headquarters before final membership release.
• NCIB reserves the right to reject, suspend, cancel or terminate membership where information is found to be false, misleading, fraudulent or contrary to NCIB Rules, Regulations or Membership Policy.
