INTRODUCTION
The Human Rights Protection Division of the National Crime Investigation Bureau (NCIB) is committed to upholding the dignity and fundamental freedoms of all individuals. We actively adopt, promote, and enforce the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the United Nations, in alignment with the Indian Constitution and relevant national and international laws.
OUR MISSION & OBJECTIVES
1. To Promote Human Rights Education: We work in collaboration with the Government of India and international partners to spread awareness, education, and advocacy about human rights across all communities.
2. To Establish Help & Rehabilitation Centers: We aim to set up and operate centers for treatment, counseling, and rehabilitation for victims of human rights violations, including abuse, exploitation, discrimination, and violence.
3. To Empower the Disempowered: We give priority to the marginalized and underrepresented communities, ensuring their voices are heard and their basic rights are protected.
4. To Monitor Global Human Rights Violations: We remain vigilant of violations worldwide and work through the UN framework to encourage democratic and economic reforms, while limiting cooperation with oppressive regimes.
5. To Preserve Culture and Values: Alongside legal rights, we support the promotion of art, culture, and civil society values as a foundation for a just and inclusive society.
6. To Extend Support to Broader Humanitarian Issues: Our division is open to addressing any other concerns that fall within the scope of human rights protection, even if not explicitly listed here.
