An awareness program on “Human Rights” was organized on 20 February 2026 at Shri Gopinath Jew High School under the initiative of NCIB Officer Baidyandra Nath Sahoo, Jajpur District. The program was conducted under the banner of National Crime Investigation Bureau (NCIB).
Sudam Charan Das, NCIB State Director, attended as the Chief Guest, while Rudranarayan Prushty, former senior member of the District Legal Services Authority, was the Chief Speaker. Prabhanjan Pati, Additional Block Education Officer, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
During the session, the speakers elaborated on fundamental human rights related to life, equality, liberty, and dignity as enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Shri Das highlighted the roles of the Odisha State Human Rights Commission and the National Human Rights Commission, citing important suo motu cases from various states.
Hundreds of teachers participated in the program. Participants were advised to remain vigilant against human rights violations and were informed about the procedure for lodging complaints with the State or National Human Rights Commission through the NHRC toll-free number 14433, as well as via post, email, or online mode.
