As part of the Vanamahotsav Week celebrations on 06 July 2026, the National Crime Investigation Bureau (NCIB), Odisha organized a debate competition and tree plantation drive at Sadanandpur UGME School to promote environmental awareness among students.
The programme was graced by NCIB Odisha State Director Shri Sudam Charan Das, Jajpur District Officer Shri Baidyanandra Nath Sahu, the School Headmaster, members of the School Management Committee (SMC), and the teaching staff. Addressing the students, the dignitaries highlighted the vital role of trees in maintaining ecological balance, combating climate change, and ensuring a sustainable future. They encouraged every student to become an active guardian of nature by planting and protecting trees.
A tree plantation drive was also conducted within the school premises, where saplings were planted by the dignitaries, teachers, students, and SMC members. The initiative was appreciated for creating awareness about environmental conservation and inspiring young minds to contribute towards a greener future.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to protect nature through sustained tree plantation and care, reaffirming NCIB’s commitment to environmental conservation and a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable India.
